| 9th February, 2010 - 6:35 am | Yahoo! Sports - Former major league star Andres Galarraga is expected to join the Tigers in spring training to serve as a mentor to Miguel Cabrera.
Cabrera, who has admitted alcohol issues, shares Venezuelan heritage with Galarraga.
"Detroit wants me to be with Miguel during spring training and that's where we are," Galarraga told the Venezuelan Web site Panorama.com.
"If it's for spring training, I think I will accept, but if it's for the season, I don't want to be away from my home for eight months." [READ] |
